According to the dictionary, set has the meanings such as to put sth/sb in a particular place or position; to cause sb/sth to be in a particular state; to start sth happening.
“Set” can be regarded as a kind of force generated from internal or external of the subject, that means the force can be self-generated or caused by external factors. This force can be powerful to the subjects that have solidly rooted in the existing environment, either, the force can be less powerful to change something that are not very stable.
Set also implies a course of changing, evolving. The world is coming towards more unpredictable situation as the technology is getting more advanced.
In the architectural context, forces and changes can be perceived easily, architecture is influenced by politics, economics these external factors and internal factors such as structure.
Having technology assisting, especially digital analysis and designs, architecture changes in terms of its envelop, structure, form. Moreover, the thinking method and working process of architects changes as well. In the future, design process must be as dynamic and fluid as the way in which we currently live and think.
